- भारत में जलवायु समाधान के नए चरण को गति देने की तैयारी
मुंबई, 21 नवंबर 2025: भारत के पहले व्यापक जलवायु-केंद्रित मंच मुंबई क्लाइमेट वीक (MCW) ने आज
अपने प्रमुख कार्यक्रम से पहले क्लाइमेट इनोवेशन चैलेंज की औपचारिक घोषणा की। यह बहु-चरणीय पहल
उन नवाचारों की पहचान और प्रसार पर केंद्रित है, जिन्हें भारत एवं Global South के देशों में बड़े पैमाने
पर लागू किया जा सकता है।
MCW का आयोजन Project Mumbai द्वारा महाराष्ट्र सरकार और बृहन्मुंबई महानगरपालिका (BMC) के
सहयोग से 17–19 फरवरी 2026 के बीच जिओ वर्ल्ड कन्वेंशन सेंटर में किया जाएगा। कार्यक्रम के उद्घाटन के
लिए भारत के माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी को आमंत्रित किया गया है।
इस प्रतियोगिता का नेतृत्व National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) ‘इनोवेशन चैलेंज पार्टनर’ के
रूप में करेगा। चैलेंज का उद्देश्य जलवायु शमन, अनुकूलन एवं रेसिलिएंस से जुड़े नवोन्मेषी समाधानों को
प्रोत्साहित करना है। इसमें देशभर के स्टार्टअप, छात्र, शोधकर्ता, सामाजिक संगठनों, नवोन्मेषकों और जलवायु
उद्यमियों को भाग लेने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया है। चयनित प्रतिभागियों को अपने समाधान MCW 2026
में प्रत्यक्ष मंच पर प्रदर्शित करने का अवसर मिलेगा।
महाराष्ट्र सरकार, माझी वसुंधरा, BMC, Monitor Deloitte, HT Parekh Foundation, India Climate
Collaborative (ICC), Shakti Foundation, WRI India, UNICEF, Rainmatter Foundation,
Mahindra Group, Climate Group, NGMA सहित अनेक राष्ट्रीय-अंतरराष्ट्रीय संस्थान इस पहल से जुड़े
हैं, जिससे MCW वैश्विक एवं स्थानीय नेतृत्व का एक अनूठा संगम बन गया है। MCW को नागरिक-केंद्रित
पहल के रूप में संरचित किया गया है। इसके अंतर्गत मुंबई में जलवायु कार्ययोजना, सिनेमा और जलवायु, खाद्य
एवं जलवायु, खेल, कला, स्वास्थ्य और अन्य क्षेत्रों पर संवाद एवं अनुभव साझा किए जाएंगे। NSS
स्वयंसेवकों के माध्यम से महाविद्यालयों की भागीदारी भी सुनिश्चित की जाएगी।
शिशिर जोशी, संस्थापक एवं मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी, प्रोजेक्ट मुंबई, ने कहा: “मुंबई क्लाइमेट वीक का
उद्देश्य ऐसे सशक्त मंच तैयार करना है, जहां विचार केवल चर्चा तक सीमित न रहकर ठोस कार्य में परिवर्तित
हों। NSE के साथ यह सहयोग हमारी इस क्षमता को और मजबूत बनाता है कि हम उन समाधानों की
पहचान कर सकें, जो शहरों और समुदायों को जलवायु परिवर्तन की चुनौतियों से निपटने में सक्षम बनाते हैं।
नवोन्मेषकों, निवेशकों, समुदायों, विशेषज्ञों और नीति-निर्माताओं को एक ही मंच पर जोड़कर हम न सिर्फ
मुंबई बल्कि पूरे क्षेत्र के लिए दीर्घकालिक जलवायु समाधान गढ़ने की दिशा में प्रयासरत हैं।”
आशिषकुमार चौहान, प्रबंध निदेशक एवं मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी, NSE, ने कहा: “फरवरी 2026 में
आयोजित होने वाला मुंबई क्लाइमेट वीक भारत की Net Zero 2070 यात्रा के निर्णायक समय पर सामने आ
रहा है। इस लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति के लिए 2070 तक 10 ट्रिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर से अधिक जलवायु वित्त की
आवश्यकता होगी—स्वच्छ ऊर्जा, हरित गतिशीलता और लचीले बुनियादी ढांचे में व्यापक निवेश अपरिहार्य है।
NSE एक अग्रणी बाज़ार अवसंरचना संस्थान के रूप में Monthly Electricity Futures, GSS+ एवं
Transition Bonds, Green Equity Pathway, CFD और प्रस्तावित कार्बन मार्केट जैसे साधनों के
माध्यम से जलवायु वित्त प्रणाली को सुदृढ़ कर रहा है। मुंबई क्लाइमेट वीक के साथ यह साझेदारी भारत की
हरित नवाचार और जिम्मेदार विकास में वैश्विक नेतृत्व को सशक्त बनाने की हमारी प्रतिबद्धता को पुष्ट करती
है।”
क्लाइमेट इनोवेशन चैलेंज — भारत की नागरिक-नेतृत्व जलवायु पहल का केंद्रबिंदु
MCW को एक ऐसी नागरिक-संचालित जलवायु पहल के रूप में परिकल्पित किया गया है, जो नीति-
नిర्माण और जनता के बीच सीधे संवाद का माध्यम बन सके।
इनोवेशन चैलेंज इस मिशन का मुख्य स्तंभ है—भारत की जड़ों से जुड़े और वैश्विक स्तर पर उपयोगी सिद्ध होने
वाले समाधान तैयार करना। प्रतिभागियों को क्षमता-विकास सत्र, मास्टरक्लास, तकनीकी मार्गदर्शन, जूरी
मूल्यांकन तथा कार्यक्रम के तीसरे दिन आयोजित होने वाले “Investor Speed-Seeding Forum” के
माध्यम से पूंजी-प्रदाताओं के साथ प्रत्यक्ष संवाद का अवसर मिलेगा। अंतिम चरण में चयनित नवाचार MCW
के ‘Solutions Exhibition Arena’ में नीति-निर्माताओं, उद्योग जगत, दानदाता संस्थाओं और अंतरराष्ट्रीय
जलवायु नेटवर्क के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किए जाएंगे, जिससे पायलट परियोजनाओं, साझेदारियों और MoUs के
अवसर भी उपलब्ध होंगे।
About Mumbai Climate Week
Scheduled from February 17 to 19, 2026, at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai
Climate Week will be more than a three-day event. Its impact will be extended through
preparatory activities before and synthesis efforts after the main conference, including
workshops, case studies, films, testimonials, and follow-up reports. By mobilizing India’s
vibrant network of climate-focused organizations and movements, it will highlight the
nation’s pioneering efforts in climate action while charting a bold path forward.
Conceptualised & initiated by Project Mumbai, a citizen-driven non-profit founded in
2018, and, in partnership with Government of Maharashtra’s Department of
Environment and Climate Change, and supported by Brihanmumbai Municipal
Corporation, MCW reflects the vision of a dynamic megacity from the Global South
stepping into a role of global climate leadership
